Responsibilities

Perform hands-on operation and maintenance of data center equipment and systems, encompassing mechanical, electrical, building automation, control systems, emergency generators, and fire/life safety
Regulate the data center environment to adhere to specific standards for temperature, humidity, and pressure
Monitor, manage, and maintain the uninterruptable power source (UPS), batteries, and generators to guarantee uninterrupted service
Conduct regular data center inspection rounds to collect readings, maintain logs, and document equipment-related information
Oversee outside service providers working within the critical environment, and report any hazardous materials, unsafe work practices, or non-compliance with critical facility policies
Complete periodic maintenance (PM) tasks and document all activities
Clean and ensure the safety of computer and critical equipment rooms

Required

Onsite requirement - Data Center in Kansas City, MO
This position entails working night shifts from 6 pm to 6 am on a 5-5-4 rotation (5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on, 5 days off)
Perform hands-on operation and maintenance of data center equipment and systems, encompassing mechanical, electrical, building automation, control systems, emergency generators, and fire/life safety
Regulate the data center environment to adhere to specific standards for temperature, humidity, and pressure
Monitor, manage, and maintain the uninterruptable power source (UPS), batteries, and generators to guarantee uninterrupted service
Conduct regular data center inspection rounds to collect readings, maintain logs, and document equipment-related information
Oversee outside service providers working within the critical environment, and report any hazardous materials, unsafe work practices, or non-compliance with critical facility policies
Complete periodic maintenance (PM) tasks and document all activities
Clean and ensure the safety of computer and critical equipment rooms
Physically capable of climbing ladders, walking long distances within large complexes, and safely lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to obtain government security clearance or certification, such as DOD or VA
Comfortable working outdoors, in mechanical rooms, and in computer environments
Proficiency in operating company vehicles, radios, and assigned equipment
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Flexible to work additional or irregular hours as needed, adhering to local regulations
Adhere to corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understanding the importance of safeguarding corporate and client assets, and taking appropriate action to prevent and report security breaches within the scope of the position
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned
Possess a valid Driver's License
Hold a Universal Refrigeration Certificate
Minimum 1 year of experience with energy management systems (EMS), maintenance management software (MMS), industrial air conditioning, or electrical maintenance and installation
Proficiency in maintenance work within commercial properties
At least 1 year of technician work experience within the service industry, dealing with complex systems

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
