They are seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to improve the public bidding process, evaluate project opportunities, and ensure competitive pricing through effective communication with subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Work directly with owner to constantly improve public bidding process and program

Evaluate IFB's, ITB's, RFQ's and RFP's and make recommendation on what opportunities we should pursue

Aggressively and accurately cost our projects to keep costs as competitive as possible

Communicate with qualified subcontractors and suppliers to achieve competitive pricing

Evaluate sequence of work and scope of work to ensure costing and production are accurate

Work with InEight to create proposals

Work with in house BD and Marketing team to evaluate and pursue public civil opportunities

Evaluate results of opportunities to obtain information in making future decisions

Attend pre-bid meetings and submit questions to owner

Work with Operations team members to determine production rates for tasks

Hand off awarded projects to Operations team

Qualification

Civil estimating experienceInEight softwareBluebeamExcelBasic math skillsAttention to detail

Required

3 years civil estimating experience

Strong attention to detail

Basic math skills with understanding of material types used & labor/equipment resources

Familiarity with Bluebeam and/or Excel

Preferred

InEight software experience preferred but not required
