Responsibilities
Perform daily administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting of networks, servers, workstations, virtual environments, and storage systems
Maintain, optimize, and support LAN/WAN architectures, directory services, VPNs, virtual machines, and cloud-based services
Execute software and hardware installations, upgrades, configuration changes, and patch management with minimal disruption to operations
Utilize and manage backup and restoration solutions for disaster recovery and continuity of operations, supporting established RTO/RPO requirements
Implement and maintain security controls and system settings in strict accordance with DoD security policies, DISA STIGs, and RMF requirements
Administer user accounts, permissions, group policies, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) to safeguard system integrity and data privacy
Support the deployment and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus/antimalware, and other network security appliances and tools
Monitor system health, resource utilization, and performance using enterprise tools; proactively detect and contribute to the resolution of anomalies and incidents
Analyze logs and event data; collaborate with cybersecurity, helpdesk, and engineering teams to resolve escalations and participate in root cause analysis for significant events
Maintain comprehensive, accurate system configuration, change, and inventory records for compliance and audit readiness
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical guides, and knowledge management artifacts to enable repeatable, high-performing operations across all locations
Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for automation, technology upgrades, and process optimization
Provide technical support to local and remote users, participate in on-call/after-hours rotations as needed to ensure 24/7 mission readiness
Engage in information assurance, configuration management, and operational meetings
