Residential Director (Assisted Living Director)
Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute is seeking a Residential Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of their residential department. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure quality living services for patients, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with leadership teams on strategic planning and alignment efforts to ensure residential services support overall organizational goals and compliance required
Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, service quality, and resident outcomes across departments
Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings and case reviews to promote continuity of care and foster a unified approach to resident well-being and satisfaction
Partner with clinical teams to assess and resolve patient or family complaints promptly, ensuring communication transparency and adherence to organizational standards of care
Collaborate closely with Therapy, Nursing, and other interdisciplinary departments to identify and address patient barriers, care coordination challenges, and programmatic concerns in real time
Manage labor costs and ensure efficient residential care is provided at all times
Review processes routinely to find innovative solutions using technology and collaboration
Interview/coordinate process of potential Residential staff
Oversee the development of Residential staff schedules to provide 24-hour coverage and the necessary community-based coverage
Provide direct supervision of residential staff, including documentation and evaluations of performance
Assign specific job tasks to residential staff members based on individual skills and programmatic requirements
Serve as Liaison between clinical staff and residential staff
Provide in-services for residential staff
Provide orientation for new residential staff
Develop and implement policies and procedures for residential staff
Ensures that residential staff have received training and demonstrated skills on the operation of facility equipment
Supervise & provide direct care as needed for patients and orientation for new patients
Direct and/or assist in emergency procedures for fire, evacuation, or medical emergency
Document incidents and submit reports per policy
Guide and assist patients according to their individual treatment plan
Serve as role model to the Residential Staff as well as patients
Attend meetings as appropriate for residential representation
Implement and maintain organizational policies and procedures within their area of concern
Assure medications are appropriately self-administered in accordance with nursing policy and procedures
Discharge duties in accordance with Moody Neuro organizational policy, HHSC, CARF, CRS and other accrediting bodies
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to organize, train, and supervise the residential staff
Ability to follow and/or implement directions from clinical staff
Ability to communicate accurate and pertinent information to residential staff
Ability to demonstrate flexibility
Knowledge of behavior and needs of the brain injured population
Ability to execute emergency procedures
Hold current CPR within 30 days of hire
Physical strength to assist/transfer patients
Experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention after employment
Current Texas driver's license
NCI training must be taken and maintained
College degree in healthcare required
Must obtain ALF Certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter
Minimum 2 years' experience working with adults with neurological impairments or 2 years' experience working in a residential setting preferably at a management level
Preferred
Brain injury experience or related certification
