They are seeking a Field Engineer to support heavy highway projects, working closely with project managers and crews to coordinate material deliveries and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities
Support heavy highway projects as a Field Engineer (bridges/roadways/IDOT-style work)
Work daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews
Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper certifications per contract requirements
Maintain daily field documentation (reports, schedules, photos, tracking)
Monitor subcontractor progress and support schedule execution
Help manage and balance concrete deliveries and pours
Assist with closeout tasks, quantities, and job cost reporting
Work outdoors year-round; occasional second shift during phase changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a U.S. university
0–5 years of experience (field/engineering internships/co-ops count for entry level)
Exposure to heavy highway / heavy civil construction
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally to job sites
Comfortable working on active jobsites and collaborating with field crews
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred
Exposure to heavy highway / heavy civil construction is strongly preferred
OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
Bluebeam familiarity is a plus
