LEMIT - Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas is seeking an Assistant Professor of Engineering Technology specializing in Mechanical Engineering Technology. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, contributing to research programs, and enhancing the Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum and resources.

The ability to teach traditional (lab-based) and online undergraduate and graduate courses is expected
The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate research program
The applicant is expected to help with improving the Mechanical Engineering Technology and M.S. in Engineering Technology & Management programs including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum development, and contribute to ABET accreditation
Qualification
Required
An earned Doctorate degree (ABD completed by August 2026 will also be considered) in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or other closely related fields
Excellent communication skills are required
A strong commitment to undergraduate, graduate education, and interdisciplinary collaboration
The ability to teach traditional (lab-based) and online undergraduate and graduate courses is expected
Contribute to the growing undergraduate research program
Help with improving the Mechanical Engineering Technology and M.S. in Engineering Technology & Management programs including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum development, and contribute to ABET accreditation
Preferred
Three years of related industrial and college teaching experience are preferred
