Architectural Interior Designer
CORBeL Architects is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Interior Designer to join their professional, agile, and collaborative team. The role involves contributing to all project phases from concept through completion, focusing on creating Construction Documents and collaborating with various project stakeholders.
Architecture & Planning
Responsibilities
Assist in leading projects from concept to completion
Prepare Interior Design Construction Documents (ID CD) and Bid Set for various projects, including hotels, multifamily, mixed-use developments, and commercial properties
Prepare ID CD plans that include reflected ceiling plans, enlarged elevations, details sheets (wall, floor, ceiling, etc.), millwork details, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) related interior details, etc
Prepare specification sets using InDesign
Select FF&E and create presentation boards, material boards, and finish schedules
Work with the project teams on creating client presentations, materials, and finish schedules, and design documentation
Assist in selecting FF&E that aligns with the project design direction and client preferences
Engaged role within the office environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
Examine and validate drawings for quality, accuracy, and compliance with relevant codes and standards
Maintain relationships with vendors to request quotes, ensure all details and documents are updated for fabrication, and manage schedules
Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction
Engaged role within the office environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or higher degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture
Minimum of 3 years of experience in creating Construction Documents (CD) utilizing REVIT
Minimum of 3 years of experience in FF&E design, coupled with a strong knowledge of interior materials, color theory, graphic composition, specifications, and procurement processes
Strong understanding of space planning, construction drawings, furniture, millwork, and cabinetry constructions
Highly proficient in REVIT and BIM360
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), and other 3D modeling software
Proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong understanding of ADA standards, building codes, and regulations
Ability to review and process submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction phases
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Reliable transportation for site visits and meetings
