The Senior Program Manager for Data Analytics and Strategy

The Senior Program Manager for Data Analytics and Strategy will develop, implement, and evaluate projects with community partners, focusing on data analysis and project management within the North Carolina Institute for Public Health.

Responsibilities
Developing, implementing, and evaluating projects with community partners
Designing research/technical assistance assessments
Implementing evidence-based methods
Analyzing and visualizing data
Interpreting assessment results
Translating/disseminating assessment results through publication, reporting, and education of community partners
Generating new projects aligned with NCIPH’s key priority areas based on available funding opportunities
Serving as a non-faculty principal investigator on some projects and as a project manager or associate on others
Meeting project deliverables, communicating with project partners, and implementing project workplans
Training team members, guiding their work, and overseeing performance of permanent, temporary, and student members
Qualification
Required
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution
Strong skills in data management (using SAS, R, or equivalent software)
Demonstrate a deep commitment to health inequities as well as a passion for individual and collective learning
Proven ability to function independently, and be able to successfully manage relationships in a team-based project environment
Ability to serve as a supervisor and guide the work of a small group to success
Interest in pursuing and developing new projects and funding aligned with organizational goals
Excellent project management skills
Detail oriented
Proven ability to work both independently and with a team
Ability to manage budgets
Familiar with Microsoft Teams, Asana and meeting/facilitating via Zoom
Occasional travel is required
Preferred
Masters or doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or statistics with prior experience in a professional capacity for a state, local, or international public health agency or academic institution
Knowledge of North Carolina public health system a plus
A well-rounded candidate with additional skill sets (e.g. GIS, Python, Tableau, other visualization skills) that can contribute to projects would be an asset
