The Legal Research Associate will conduct legal research and writing to support faculty in various fields of law and assist in legislative reporting when necessary.
Responsibilities
Legal research, analysis, and writing to support short- and long-term research needs of School of Government faculty
Electronic and paper-based legal research
Cite-checking
Legal writing
Draft publication review
Support faculty research in a wide variety of fields, including local government law, employment law, criminal law, civil procedure, and judicial administration
Help support the School’s Legislative Reporting Service, which summarizes bills as they are introduced and tracks them as they progress
Qualification
Required
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity or comparable background in independent academic or instructional activities, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution
Strong legal research and writing skills

Strong preference for individuals holding a J.D
