They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and manufacturability for electromechanical subsystems, enabling the development of production-ready hardware for their products.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design, documentation, and manufacturability for brushless DC motors, motor housings, rotors, stators, and other rotating/electromechanical assemblies
Own the full mechanical design lifecycle from concept through detailed CAD modeling, drawing release, supplier/vendor handoff, and manufacturing support
Work closely with electrical, test, and manufacturing teams in the lab environment to build, validate, and iterate on real hardware
Participate in daily engineering discussions and be physically present for assembly, test, and debug efforts

Required

Highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – Electromechanical Subsystems
Lead mechanical design, documentation, and manufacturability for brushless DC motors, motor housings, rotors, stators, and other rotating/electromechanical assemblies
Own the full mechanical design lifecycle from concept through detailed CAD modeling, drawing release, supplier/vendor handoff, and manufacturing support
Self-managed, Type A personality
Thrive in fast-moving environments
Work independently and push projects forward without constant direction
Directly enable drone, robotics, and mobility products
Turn prototype motor designs into production-ready hardware that meets tight tolerance, material, and performance requirements
Hands-on, onsite role based in San Antonio, TX
Work closely with electrical, test, and manufacturing teams in a lab environment
Build, validate, and iterate on real hardware
Contribute directly to hardware that ships to customers on aggressive timelines
Work with mechanical tools and prototypes
Participate in daily engineering discussions
Be physically present for assembly, test, and debug efforts
