Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced Li-ion cell technologies
Work closely with teams across materials, chemistry, and manufacturing to progress new ideas into practical solutions
Plan and execute testing programs, analyse performance data, and address design challenges
Support and mentor engineers, helping to strengthen technical capability across the group
Establish and refine best practices for cell design and assembly processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within cell engineering
Qualification
Required
PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related discipline; a Master's degree with strong relevant experience will also be considered
Practical experience designing and developing custom lithium-ion cells
Deep knowledge of battery materials, chemistry, and manufacturing methods
Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and propose workable solutions
Clear, confident communication skills and ease working with cross-functional teams
