Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing documents for pipe supports, building structure modifications, rigging load evaluations
Design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components and other equipment supports
Conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations, specification development, and seismic analysis
Develop 3-D analytical models utilizing FEA analysis techniques and response spectra seismic analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Minimum 5 years experience
Mathcad or Matlab
Finite Element Analysis software, no specific one
Experience in the commercial nuclear plant sector
Previous design verification qualification/certification experience with commercial nuclear projects under 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs
Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders
MathCAD Prime as well as GTSTRUDL experience is a must for Senior level engineers
Ability to perform piping analysis per ASME B31.1
Ability to prepare and review documents for pipe supports, building structure modifications, rigging load evaluations
Experience with Steel per AISC Allowable Stress Design (ASD) approach
Experience in design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components and other equipment supports
Experience in conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations, specification development, and seismic analysis
Ability to develop 3-D analytical models utilizing FEA analysis techniques and response spectra seismic analysis
