Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating the delivery of investigative and technical support services for the Supervisory Special Agents and Special Agents within the Office of Internal Affairs
Analyzes incoming information received by mail, telephone, facsimile and electronic mail to determine if the information relates to a currently active case of closed inquiry
Responsible for ensuring that information is accurately evaluated and forwarded to the appropriate Internal Affairs staff for further action
Responsible for analyzing, filing, and retrieving complex and sensitive investigative documents
Responsible for determining the status of inquiries, and ensuring that investigative records are accurate and up to date

Required

U.S. Citizenship is Required
Education: GS-07: One full year of graduate level education OR Superior Academic Achievement
Education: GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related
Experience: GS-07 and GS-09: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level
Ability to communicate orally
Ability to communicate in writing
Ability to work with data on a computer
Ability to use time and resources efficiently
Knowledge of Federal Government rules and regulations
