HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT)

Responsibilities
You will review, receive, generate, and process electronic Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs) through the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) human resources information systems
You will discuss, relay, exchange, and resolve HR recruitment and placement related programs, processes, procedures, and strategic initiatives
You will find, review, and maintain up-to-date/current HR recruitment and placement related regulations, standards, directives, instructions, and strategic initiatives
You will prepare and distribute documents, emails, lists, and spreadsheets ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant HR recruitment and placement data and information
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
To qualify for the GS-07, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and respond to routine queries; 2) Prepare and review correspondence, documents, and reports to ensure accurate spelling, formatting, and compliance with established procedures; 3) Demonstrate skill in using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet; 4) Apply human resources concepts, principles, rules, and practices related to identifying, attracting, and referring individuals for placement; and 5) Manage tasks by answering calls, conducting group orientation for all new hires, public speaking, maintaining records, organizing information, and supporting overall workflow and administrative efficiency

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
