Assistant Project Manager - Technologies
Alterman, Inc. is seeking a Technologies Assistant Project Manager to support the lead project manager in executing project assignments. The role involves coordinating project components, managing customer interactions, and ensuring compliance with company standards while delivering projects effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Ability to effectively work with 5 key components: account management, project management, project planning, material procurement, and labor as directed by the lead project manager
Work with the lead PM to identify 'critical path activities' of the project, then assist in preparing documentation required to accomplish these activities and submit to lead project manager for final approval
Assist with the coordination and preplanning of a project: review plans & specs. budgeting, job cost entry, scheduling, preparing project documents, monitor productivity, assist with job cost projections, contract interpretation, and attend project meetings when necessary. All under the direction of the lead PM
Communicate information concerning operations to the lead project manager and other managers as directed so that all parties to have a full understanding of overall project operations
Ensure that all duties of this position are carried out in compliance with Alterman’s stated mission, vision, values, safety standards, and company policies and procedures
Assume additional tasks that are assigned by the lead project manager or which are logically inherent to this position and be willing to put in the effort that is necessary to ensure that job duties are performed completely and accurately
Communicate effectively with Alterman personnel and especially the lead project manager to ensure expectations are being met and assigned duties are affectively achieved
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in a field supervisory position
a minimum of 5 years working and studying in the Technologies construction industry
a good working knowledge of Estimating and Field Engineering
Must have completed Technology Apprenticeship or similar / equivalent
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications to include blue prints, proposals, and other documents as they relate to Technologies work
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with office and field staff
Must be professional in appearance and possess a friendly demeanor with clients, vendors, and staff
Proficient computer skills with all basic office programs (Word and Outlook) and the ability to learn and use related software and systems
Preferred
Basic knowledge of Data Systems, Physical Security Systems, AV Systems and BICSI Certification
