Financial Specialist
The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science is dedicated to high-quality research and innovation. The Financial Specialist will manage sponsored and non-sponsored project accounts, including reconciliation, analysis, and reporting, while collaborating with various teams to ensure effective financial management.

Responsibilities
Administer sponsored and non-sponsored project accounts for the ECE Department
Account reconciliation, analysis, forecasting, reporting, and initiating corrective actions as appropriate
Interface with the ECE business office, finance team, and payroll team, as well as PIs and other researchers
Manage proposal submissions in conjunction with PIs and central offices
Responsible for other finance-related activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Three (3) years of professional grants, finance, or accounting experience
Knowledge of grants related policies and procedures, and federal, state, and other applicable related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances
Skill in oral and written communication
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
