Responsibilities
Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for all project controls functions including cost management, schedule management, risk, change management, commercial reporting, and performance metrics
Develop and implement comprehensive project control strategies, frameworks, and tools to ensure alignment with company objectives and industry best practices
Lead cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders, contractors, and executive leadership to drive performance and accountability across all project phases
Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health and trajectory of active portfolios
Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and internal control standards while supporting project transparency and financial integrity
Mentor and lead a high-performing team of project controls professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence
Provide expert-level guidance on Earned Value Management (EVM), risk assessments, forecasting, and commercial variance analysis
Contribute to executive-level decision making through informed analysis, forward-looking insights, and scenario planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project controls within large-scale infrastructure, utilities, or industrial sectors
Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-disciplinary project controls teams on capital programs valued at $500M+
Deep knowledge of project control systems, frameworks, and tools including Primavera P6, EVM systems, cost engineering software, and project dashboards
Proven ability to operate with discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive or high-profile project environments
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to lead through influence
Preferred
Master's degree or MBA
PMP, CCP, or EVP certification strongly preferred
