AlphaStaffHCM is representing a rapidly growing Texas-based MEP engineering firm seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will oversee the electrical design and documentation of projects, lead a team, and ensure effective coordination across various engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design process for assigned facilities projects from concept through completion
Design power distribution, lighting, communication, and other building electrical systems for healthcare, education, and commercial facilities
Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams to produce fully integrated designs
Oversee and mentor junior electrical engineering staff throughout design and documentation phases
Conduct internal reviews to verify accuracy and quality of project deliverables
Monitor project progress and coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and budget requirements
Participate in client meetings and contribute technical expertise to project planning and development
Remain hands-on in Revit and AutoCAD to support active design work

Required

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with eligibility to transfer to Texas if currently licensed in another state
10+ years of electrical engineering experience
Engineering experience in facilities building systems in healthcare, education, or commercial facilities
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Experience with hands on design work
Proven track record of leading design teams and delivering complex projects
Experience coordinating with multiple disciplines on integrated building system designs
Ability to work fully on-site in Austin, TX
