This leadership role is responsible for overseeing high-volume transactional accounting operations, with a primary emphasis on Accounts Payable and disbursement-related activities.

Responsibilities
Lead and develop teams responsible for accounts payable, vendor payments, reimbursements, and refund processing
Own end-to-end AP workflows, including invoice intake, approvals, payment execution, issue resolution, and reconciliations
Ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled disbursement activity across vendors, employees, and other payees
Establish, document, and maintain standardized procedures and internal controls related to AP and cash-out processes
Partner with treasury and finance teams on payment runs, bank activity, reconciliations, and transactional oversight
Support recurring compliance activities tied to payables and disbursements, such as sales/use tax filings, information reporting, and routine regulatory submissions
Act as a primary point of contact for auditors on AP-related processes, controls, and supporting documentation
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual AP workflows and reduce processing friction
Monitor operational metrics and service levels to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability
Collaborate cross-functionally on system enhancements, policy updates, and process improvements impacting accounting operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Progressive experience in accounting operations, with direct oversight of Accounts Payable or similar transactional functions
Demonstrated ability to manage teams, workflows, and controls in a high-volume environment
Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and process-driven accounting
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
