Customer Retention Manager

Ogee is committed to creating a certified organic collection of high-performance beauty products. The Customer Retention Manager will lead the customer lifecycle, loyalty, and retention strategy across various channels while managing the Customer Retention team and optimizing retention programs.

Responsibilities

Own Ogee’s end-to-end lifecycle and retention strategy across Email, SMS, Blog, and Loyalty to increase customer lifetime value, repeat purchase behavior, and subscription engagement
Develop and maintain a strategic retention marketing roadmap aligned with brand campaigns, GTM launches, promotions, and seasonal storytelling
Build journey frameworks that span onboarding, repeat purchase, lapse prevention, win back, loyalty tiers, VIP, and replenishment moments
Own strategy, planning, execution, QA, and reporting for all Email, SMS, and Loyalty campaigns and automated journeys
Drive advanced segmentation and personalization strategies to optimize relevance and reduce churn across the customer lifecycle
Build and optimize a highly engaging and high-performing loyalty program that enhances customer stickiness and brand affinity
Build and manage the Retention Marketing Calendar in partnership with Integrated Marketing, ensuring cohesion with brand campaigns, promotions, product launches, and website merchandising
Oversee the development and optimization of customer-facing content and tools, including blogs, landing pages, and quizzes, to support education, conversion, and retention
Partner closely with Creative to brief assets that meet retention goals, align with brand identity, and support integrated campaign narratives
Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly retention performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Track and report KPIs such as repeat purchase rate, LTV, email/SMS revenue, list growth, segmentation performance, churn rate, and loyalty engagement
Implement robust A/B testing across messaging, segmentation, creative, and customer journeys to continuously elevate results
Benchmark performance against industry standards and emerging trends to drive innovation
Collaborate with the E-Commerce team to ensure retention strategies support promotional priorities and revenue goals
Work closely with Creative, Brand, and Integrated Marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and customer experience across all touchpoints
Maintain strong relationships with external partners and technology platforms to maximize operational efficiency and strategic capabilities
Manage, coach, and develop the Customer Retention Associate, overseeing daily workflow, QA, deliverables, and professional growth
Establish clear KPIs, workflow standards, and executional excellence across the retention team
Partner with the Senior Manager of Integrated Marketing to build a high-performing retention function within the broader marketing organization

Required

4-5+ years of experience in retention, lifecycle, email, or CRM marketing with a proven track record of driving customer retention and revenue growth
Proven success optimizing email/SMS and Loyalty campaigns
A clear understanding of customer segmentation, personalization strategies, and customer journeys
Strong attention to detail and meticulous work ethic to execute the highest quality of messaging
Experience in Shopify and/or Google Analytics for data tracking and reporting

Preferred

Experience in beauty, fashion, or a related industry strongly preferred
Familiarity with task management tools
Previous work experience in a start-up brand is a plus
