Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all building systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity
Diagnose and repair issues in offices and common areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure
Ensure all building operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including building codes and environmental standards
Monitor and optimize energy usage throughout the building, making recommendations for improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency
Respond promptly to building emergencies, including system failures, power outages, and other urgent maintenance needs
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Address maintenance requests from tenants promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and safety checks
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a related role, preferably in a high-rise residential or commercial environment
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems specific to high-rise buildings
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex building system issues effectively and efficiently
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and management
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and climb ladders as required for maintenance tasks
Must be available for on-call emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as HVAC, EPA, or building systems engineering
