Responsibilities

Evaluates, selects, and onboards new vendors through structured processes and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
Responsible for coordinating with appropriate functions to facilitate and support vendor training
Develops and implements vendor management strategies and policies in areas including but not limited to: Vendor Workforce Planning, Training, Quality, and Installation Daily Management
Negotiates Master Service Agreements, Contracts, and Pricing Addendums with assistance of Compliance and Legal
Manage vendor relationships and resolve conflicts or issues. Enforce contract terms when applicable
Oversee and run Daily Management System to facilitate effective communication and collaboration between vendors and Stryker Commercial Operations functions
Reviews vendor invoices and processes payment according to contract terms. Analyzes spending patterns and identifies cost optimization opportunities
Coordinates with internal stakeholders to align vendor services. Ensures vendor capabilities meet or exceed Styker needs through training, analysis and performance
Maintains accurate vendor documentation and performance metrics including but not limited to vendor capabilities, quality metrics, and contract information
Accountable for ensuring accurate records of equipment installation from vendors. and associated activities within regions
Utilizes information and analyzes trends to drive improvement opportunities within function
Implements effective communications management strategies to senior management with specific emphasis on business objectives delivery, efficient resource deployment, effective risk and issue management
Responsible for effective meeting management and group facilitation activities for programs/projects in function
Ensure the implementation of Quality Management strategies and templates for function. May support Quality Management System actions including Nonconformance and Corrective & Preventative Actions
Must be able to travel to 30-40% to support Vendors and projects in the field

Required

Bachelor's degree (B. S or B.A) required
Minimum 6 years of work experience
Minimum 4 years' related experience in Medical Device, Capital Installation, Engineering, Project Management, Contracting or Construction
Technical understanding of Capital Medical Equipment Installation and/or Project Management required
Heavy work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
Must be able to utilize equipment including ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks
Must be able to climb ladders, work within confined spaces, and above ceiling
Must have near visual acuity (corrected) color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity
Must be able to communicate effectively with intrapersonal communication skills
Must be able to communicate effectively via cell phone, text, and email
Must be able to travel via commercial airline
Must maintain a state-issued Driver's License and be able to safely operate a motor vehicle
Ability to work with large pieces of construction and medical equipment
Able to fulfill credentialing requirements for Customer Site and Hospital access
Work as an integral part of a team
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, independent environment and exercise good judgment
Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine testing and/or equipment issues using independent judgment
Must be able to locate, comprehend, and follow detailed installation instructions and procedures. Has the ability to explain clearly to onsite trades (electricians, plumbers, general contractors) or vendors
Must be able to identify issues outside of the scope of the project and communicate following appropriate escalation pathways
Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.)
Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines, and procedures
Must be able to follow and explain detailed installation instructions and inspection procedures
Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately
Must be able to analyze projects, determine priorities, and make decisions
Ability to think critically to resolve project roadblocks pertaining to environmental or infrastructure challenges within the appropriate guidelines and safety standards. Must be able to be a part of the solution process
Ability to read, navigate, and comprehend installation and technical manuals and project documents with acute attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

Contracting, Supply Chain Management, or Sourcing experience preferred
