Ampstek is seeking a SQL DBA to support day-to-day operations and management of enterprise level production databases dedicated for the QRM application. The role involves managing database architecture, ensuring system monitoring, and collaborating with IT and business teams to implement strategies and ensure high performance.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day management of the database architecture covering live and non-live environments

Liaise with all areas of IT and the QRM business to understand and implement IT and business strategy requirements, including IT Database Auditing / Vulnerability assessment

Ensure that systems are carefully monitored and that any major issues are escalated to the right teams

On call cover as a part of a rotation with other members of the team

Experience of Enterprise SQL Server provisioning, patching and upgrades

Working effectively with other infrastructure and application support teams where required to ensure high performance

Maintain non-production environments / Restores & Backups of cross environments

Strong experience with database query performance analysis and optimization leveraging tools like Query Store, Foglight and App Dynamics

Implemented automation of database refresh/archive tasks from one database server to another taking into account of pre and post refresh tasks

Monitoring of SQL Server and AlwaysOn Availability groups with Foglight and or Moogsoft tools

Configuration, failover and failback using SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Group for business continuity and Disaster Recovery requirements

Provide incident management, deployment management and business continuity requirements of database servers

Strong experience with Spectrum Protect or Cohesity Backup infrastructure and integrating with SQL Server database backup

Should have strong knowledge of Database backup & Recovery practices adheres to organizational security standards

Implementation of adequate levels of auditing & reviewing database audit logs

Automation of DB copy related processes
