Responsibilities
Complete understanding of shop math related to performance of all machining applications or related duties
Capable of interpreting blueprints required in performance of tool room duties, assemble / disassemble, fabricate, fit, repair all injection molding, injection blow molding components
Operation of all manual tool room machines with high degree of efficiency. Must be competent with lathe work, milling, drilling, sawing and precision grinding
Perform all mold preventive maintenance functions
Advise Tool Room Supervisor of any possible delay or quality issues with work related duties
Possess good working knowledge of metals relevant to machining and heat-treating
Capable of performance of all lower classification duties
Capable of training / assisting team members
Actively participate and comply with all West HSE programs and regulations
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment in accordance with West 5S program
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required

High School Diploma or GED Required
2 years' experience in a tool shop and metrology related field
Preferred
Technical certificate in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrative knowledge of variability, numerical reasoning and computer applications
Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck
Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times
Able to comply with the company's quality policy at all times
