ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ DIRECTOR OF ASSESSMENT, EVALUATION & PLANNING
Northwestern State University is seeking a Director of Assessment, Evaluation, and Planning for their College of Nursing and School of Allied Health. This role involves providing academic leadership and support for program-level assessment, evaluation, and accreditation, ensuring compliance with standards and promoting continuous improvement across nursing and allied health programs.

Responsibilities
Serve on all Program Curriculum Committees (PCCs) and program-level assessment committees to ensure consistent, aligned assessment practices across CONSAH
Collaborate with department heads and program directors to develop and refine assessment plans, outcome measures, and data collection strategies
Assist faculty in aligning course-level outcomes with program outcomes and accreditation standards
Provide leadership and guidance in the analysis and application of formative and summative data to support excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum delivery
Collect, organize, and analyze data related to student learning outcomes, licensure pass rates, program completion, enrollment trends, and graduate success, in collaboration with program directors and coordinators
Provide department heads and program directors with timely, actionable data in support of curriculum review, academic planning, and accreditation self-studies
Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Research to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely access for reporting purposes
Prepare or support the preparation of required data components for accreditation and regulatory reports, including but not limited to: Nursing: MCN, ACEN, CCNE, COA, LSBN, NCSBN, NLN Allied Health: CMHEP, JRCERT, JRCDMS and other program-specific accreditors
Develop and maintain master evaluation calendars, templates, and reporting time lines to support department and program needs
Provide faculty development and consultation on assessment best practices, curriculum mapping, and data interpretation
Support the implementation and effective use of academic assessment platforms or data dashboards for tracking program effectiveness
Participate in college-level strategic planning and institutional effectiveness initiatives
Teach in area(s) of academic expertise in accordance with faculty workload expectations
Engage in scholarship, professional development, and service consistent with university and college expectations for tenure-track faculty
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree in nursing, education, allied health, or a closely related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in academic assessment, program evaluation, or institutional effectiveness in higher education
Demonstrated experience supporting academic program accreditation through data analysis, reporting, and outcomes assessment
Teaching experience at the college or university level
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with institutional data systems and academic assessment platforms
Ability to work collaboratively across nursing and allied health programs within a large academic unit
Commitment to academic excellence, student success, and continuous quality improvement
