Responsibilities
Develop firmware using C programming for the front-end control boards of washing machines, washer extractors, tumblers, and dryers
Design and implement embedded firmware solutions to ensure reliable and efficient product functionality
Create detailed test specifications for embedded control systems
Collaborate with engineering labs to validate firmware on prototypes and production systems
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues in firmware to ensure reliable product performance
Work with embedded system peripherals such as UART, I2C, ADC, PWM, EEPROM, and other components
Debug and optimize firmware to ensure efficient communication between components and peripherals
Write engineering change notifications (ECNs) to manage updates and improvements in firmware
Use change management tools like Git for version control and issue-tracking tools like YouTrack for efficient issue resolution
Participate in product development meetings, feature definition sessions, and pilot builds
Support manufacturing and production teams by resolving firmware-related issues during production
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields required
At least 5 years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in C programming
Proficiency in embedded system peripherals: UART, I2C, Interrupt timers, EEPROM, ADC, and PWM
Experience with Git for version control and YouTrack or similar issue-tracking tools
Strong debugging skills and familiarity with test-driven development
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Demonstrated ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support firmware development and maintenance processes
Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Preferred
Prior project management experience highly desirable
Knowledge of Lua and UI design tools (e.g., Storyboard) is a plus
