As an actuarial intern, you will apply your knowledge to real-world business problems while receiving training in healthcare topics and technical skills, with mentorship from senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and review of actuarial models

Perform data analysis using Excel, R, Power BI or other tools

Document methodologies and results clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences

Support ad-hoc request from consulting teams and clients

Create and present an end-of-summer review to actuarial and senior leadership teams

Required

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field with an expected graduation date of May 2027

Successful completion of at least one SOA exam

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Flexible can-do attitude, willing to help with all types of tasks, passion to learn new things

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Previous successful work experience of any type is required

Must have legal right to work in the US; must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
