Responsibilities
Coordinate with supplier QA to ensure fabrication completion documentation is organized, assembled, and finalized per contract/project requirements
Build and verify QVD / quality documentation packages , including (as applicable):
Welding qualification records (WPS/PQR/WPQ), weld maps, weld logs
Material traceability: MTRs , heat numbers, material receiving/ID, certificates of compliance
NDE records: UT, RT (incl. film/reader sheets), MT, PT reports
Heat treat records, cleaning/coating/blast/paint documentation
Pressure test records (hydro/air/leak/vacuum) and inspection reports
Mechanical and electrical test reports
Major repair documentation and supporting verification reports
Track missing items, drive closure with suppliers/subvendors, and maintain a clean punch list to completion
Prepare packages for client Supplier Quality review and support audits/walkdowns as needed
Maintain strong document control practices: versioning, indexing, transmittals, and record retention
Qualification
Required
3–7+ years in QA/QC documentation, document control, or quality records supporting fabrication/manufacturing (industrial, energy, O&G, regulated projects, etc.)
Hands-on familiarity with welding/NDE/material traceability documentation and how data books are structured
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume documentation with deadlines
Comfortable using Excel and common document management tools (SharePoint/Aconex/Procore/ProjectWise or similar)
Preferred
Experience supporting Supplier Quality/expediting and preparing packages for client approval
Background on highly regulated projects (nuclear, chemical, LNG, aerospace, defense, etc.)
Knowledge of common standards (ASME/API/ASTM) as they relate to quality records
