Responsibilities
Direct the full accounting cycle—from general ledger oversight to mastering fund accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
Supervise and coach the Accounting Manager and Payroll Specialist, fostering a culture of professional growth and alignment
Translate complex data into clear financial statements and variance reports to guide executive decision-making
Lead the charge on annual audits, grant budget compliance, and the accurate release of restricted funds in line with ASC 958
Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements to keep our finance department agile and efficient
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically with fund accounting and GAAP/FASB regulations
Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to navigate multiple deadlines and lead a team effectively
