LIONSTEP is working on behalf of Ajinomoto Cambrooke, a global leader in advanced medical nutrition. The Product Development Scientist will drive the creation and refinement of medical nutrition products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and efficacy.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain existing products and recipes based on nutritional guidelines, consumer needs and production capabilities

Provide accurate and detailed product information to internal stakeholders

Manage and update nutritional labeling using Genesis product labeling software and nutrition analysis tools

Work with the food production team to keep formulation and kitting sheets current, maintaining product quality while striving to reduce manufacturing costs

Analyze and verify the nutritional content of products, emphasizing macro and micronutrients and amino acids, critical to the target market

Communicate with ingredient suppliers and vendors to identify and qualify alternative ingredients

Support marketing team and medical affairs by providing nutrition information for special projects

Required

Bachelor's food science, nutrition, culinary science, dietetics or related field

5+ years of experience in food product development or nutritional science

Demonstrated ability to assist with food formulations from bench top to commercialization in bakery products, frozen entrees and / or dry blends for such applications

Experience working in a small/mid-sized industrial baking facility preferred or food and /or nutrition company

Experience with food formulation & manufacturing; baking and frozen food experience desired

Experience tailoring food formulations to meet the defined nutritional requirements, functionality of ingredients as well as regulatory guidelines

Experience with clinical nutrition product formulation and nutrition labeling software, especially Genesis
