Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair traffic signal systems

Program traffic signal controllers and detection systems

Respond to outages and emergency repairs

Operate specialized vehicles such as bucket trucks

Read and interpret electrical plans

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or G.E.D., supplemented by college level or military course work or other signal industry recognized training in traffic engineering or electronics/electrical technology

Two years of experience in the field of traffic signal maintenance

Must possess Utility Line Locator Certification from a reputable organization or ability to obtain certification within two years of employment

Must possess a valid driver's license

Must possess a valid commercial driver's license and IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician Certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment

An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered
