Systems Administration Technician #5-7-254
The State of Missouri is seeking a Systems Administration Technician to ensure the stability and efficient operation of information systems supporting its core functions. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of server applications for both public-facing and internal networks, requiring strong organizational and technical skills.

Responsibilities
Perform installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technologies
Ensure that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and that applications meet enterprise and security standards
Proactively monitor and report performance and utilization of assigned technologies
Troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues/failures
Resolve alerts and perform remediation activities
Manage problems or escalate tickets and tasks from systems/software owners
Provides input into infrastructure architecture designs
Participates in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises
General Windows Server Administration and Application Server Administration
General Linux RHEL Administration and Application Server Administration
Management and configuration of Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Server), and .NET Web applications on a web server environment
Management and configuration of shared web hosting environments
Knowledge and experience with Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
Knowledge and experience with BOX, SSL Certificates
Knowledge and experience with Secure File Transfer Protocol
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel
Knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards
Ability to learn and grow Windows and Linux server troubleshooting skills
The ability to address multiple projects/tasks on a daily basis and possession of strong troubleshooting skills are key
Ability to adapt to changing situations and work demands
Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Windows OS
Knowledge of Linux OS
Knowledge of Network Infrastructure, TCP/IP, and Network Troubleshooting
Knowledge of Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies
Strong technical troubleshooting skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong communication and analytical skills (written & verbal)
The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time
The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Self-motivated/directed to handle multiple tasks and projects with minimal direction
Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to new technologies
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position
