Service Technician

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain air compressors, air treatment equipment, and related products
Check in with each customer on site and keep in communication regarding job requirements, safety guidelines, scope of work, additional findings, cost, and completion time
Job sites must always be left clean and neat
Electronic work orders (signed by customer via iPad) and warranty forms must be completed prior to leaving customers’ facility
Proper communication with Service Manager and Service Support staff required
Service trucks are specially assigned to each service technician. The service truck must be kept clean, organized, and inventoried. Must always practice safe driving
Participation in safety meetings and safety training is required and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must always be worn
Must be able to work on a ladder, operate a man-lift and forklift
Responsible for keeping industrial air compressors and control systems running correctly
Will work directly with our customers, vendors, and co-workers to develop and sustain a positive relationship

Required

3+ years of mechanical service experience required (diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, aircraft mechanic, etc)
This requires head-on communication, written, telephone, and computer skills
3 years on-the-job mechanical experience and training
Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
Lift up to 50lbs
Working in hot (above 90 F degrees) or cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures
Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
Working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions
Working in cramped spaces and getting into awkward positions
Exposure to contaminants
Travel to customer sites

Preferred

Technical college degree preferred
