Licensed Clinical Director - Substance Abuse Detox

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical services, including intake and assessment, individual, group, and family therapy, aftercare planning, crisis stabilization, and utilization review
Ensure clinical programming aligns with Pyramid Healthcare standards, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements
Provide clinical supervision, training, and support to all clinical staff, including structured onboarding, routine supervision meetings, treatment team facilitation, and documentation of all supervisory activities
Collaborate with program and corporate leadership to develop and implement annual clinical strategic plans and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Participate in operational and clinical reviews related to documentation, EMR utilization, billing coordination, and collaboration with admissions and marketing teams
Monitor client engagement, treatment outcomes, and completion of required outcome measures in accordance with facility and corporate standards
Identify barriers to effective clinical engagement and implement initiatives to enhance clinical effectiveness and client outcomes
Oversee ongoing clinical development, including curriculum development and structured trainings, in collaboration with Divisional Clinical Leadership and aligned with Pyramid Healthcare’s clinical philosophy
Participate in marketing and outreach meetings as needed to support program growth and clinical representation
Provide on-call clinical support and crisis intervention as required
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation regulations and represent the program during internal and external audits
Perform other duties as assigned
Directly supervise all clinical staff to ensure proper training, licensure compliance, ethical practice, and adherence to Pyramid Healthcare clinical standards

Required

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field
Active, unrestricted North Carolina clinical licensure (LCSW, LCMHC, LCAS, or equivalent)
Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience within a behavioral health or healthcare setting

Preferred

Experience with utilization review; familiarity with PPO and out-of-network payer requirements strongly preferred
