Marketing Communications Manager

American Substance Abuse Professionals is a growing, mission-driven company seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager. This role involves leading all marketing and communications efforts, managing a team member, and executing high-quality marketing work from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

Serve as a hands-on marketing leader —setting direction and executing day-to-day work
Mentor, coach, manage and develop a Marketing Coordinator through delegation, feedback, and skill-building
Own brand voice and messaging across digital, print, and experiential channels
Write and edit content including website copy, blogs, email campaigns, social media, and thought leadership
Manage and evolve our WordPress website, SEO efforts, and CMS content
Use design and content tools to produce polished, on-brand materials (you don’t outsource everything)
Lead digital marketing efforts, including paid media, performance tracking, and reporting
Partner cross-functionally with leadership, sales, and operations to support growth initiatives
Manage vendors, campaigns, conferences, and marketing projects end-to-end

Required

4–5+ years of experience in marketing and communications
Proven experience as a working manager who balances leadership with execution
Strong mentoring and people-development skills—you know how to grow talent
Excellent writing and editing skills (this role produces content)
Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (especially WordPress)
Hands-on experience with design and content tools (Adobe, Canva, or similar)
Hands-on experience with digital marketing, SEO, and analytics
Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
A self-starter mindset—you see what needs to be done and do it
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
