Responsibilities

Theories, principles and practices of engineering and project management methods
Familiarity with standard engineering tools and practices
Use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and computer applications with various office and engineering software applications
Rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
Understanding and/or leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Read and interpret specifications (also write) and technical drawings
Conduct technical and programmatic risk assessments
Interpret and evaluate engineering problems and statements
Use a variety of test and measurement equipment to interpret data
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Travel: 25%

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Project Engineer experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Project Engineer experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Project Engineer experience
Theories, principles and practices of engineering and project management methods
Familiarity with standard engineering tools and practices
Use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and computer applications with various office and engineering software applications
Rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
Understanding and/or leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other engineering discipline is preferred
Two (2) or more years of experience with solid propellant propulsion projects is highly desired
Experience working with manufacturing processes is strongly desired
Experience working with Suppliers to meet technical requirements
CAD knowledge is desirable
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required
