Responsibilities
Learn fundamentals of construction cost estimation and budgeting
Understand project drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and specifications
Get introduced to estimation software (Agtek, HCSS HeavyBid)
Perform material takeoff and cost estimation for labor, material, and equipment
Prepare a sample project estimate and review reports with junior estimators
Gain exposure to project management, documentation, and procurement
Learn contract management, RFIs, and submittals
Practice document control and folder organization techniques
Understand construction project scheduling using Primavera P6 and Procore
Work with subcontractors and vendors on procurement processes
Review cost coding and invoice routines
Visit to different job sites
Basic of Safety and Environmental in a Civil Construction company
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related program
Basic understanding of construction principles
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Proficiency in MS Office
