Account Executive - Whole-of-State Cybersecurity (Western US)

Responsibilities

This is a quota-carrying position
Own the full sales cycle, from identifying expansion opportunities to building relationships with key stakeholders, to negotiation and contracting
Proactively build and identify opportunity signals and generate expansion opportunities (up-sell, add-on, cross-sell, etc.)
Develop strategies and coordinate cross-functional support to help customers maximize the value
Sell Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) elements through Managed Cybersecurity Services that include Splunk and other platform services
Responsible for maintaining customer and technology vendor relationships, preparing sales proposals and ongoing sales activities
Leverage a proven sales methodology and approach to produce quarter-over-quarter target attainment

Required

Sales experience with high-level decision-makers in the SLED sector
Strong focus on high-velocity prospecting and developing new opportunities
Experience selling complex IT and/or cybersecurity solutions
Experience managing customer engagements in both virtual and face-to-face environments
High drive and willingness to learn new concepts
Consultative sales style and executive presence
Ability to identify, develop, negotiate, and close small, medium, and large complex technology service deals
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the Splunk Enterprise market
Proven success with technology-oriented customers
Proven success partnering with federal integrators
Proven demonstrated track record to meet sales goals
Demonstrated negotiations skills

Preferred

Comprehensive understanding of MDR solutions and success connecting that knowledge directly to customer ROI
