Responsibilities

Collect regulatory and non-regulatory samples within the treatment plant system, and from surface waters and streams
Perform regulatory and non-regulatory chemical and microbiological sampling and analysis using EPA-approved methods, Standard Methods, and/or Standard Operating Procedures of water and surface waters, utilizing various analytical methods and equipment

Required

Be a current college student in a science-based program (chemistry, biology, environmental science, or other applicable degree program)
Completed some core classes related to the degree program (associate, undergraduate, and graduate degree track candidates are encouraged to apply)
Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license
Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and ability to multi-task
Ability to follow directions and communicate concisely in both oral and written manner
