Urban Designer Intern

Responsibilities
Provide support to Project Managers for services related to city and town planning; urban design; transportation planning and comprehensive plan development
Planning projects will vary with emphasis on small area plans, corridor planning downtown master planning, transportation, parks, and trails
Qualification
Required
Selected candidates will be enrolled in urban planning, urban design, landscape architecture or other closely related field from an accredited post-secondary institution
Desired is Sophomore or above with completed coursework in planning principles and knowledge of land use
Students must have general knowledge in related software (i.e., ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Students must possess a valid driver's license and their own transportation
Students must have the ability to read, speak and write English clearly as this position interacts with client staff, client stakeholders, contractors, and sub-contractors
Interested candidates are required to upload a minimum of 3 work samples (portfolio) in pdf. format with their resume
Preferred
Preference may be given to students who have completed a previous internship with Bolton & Menk
