Responsibilities
Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to significantly enhance productivity, performance, and efficiency across all technology teams
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for engineering performance, including DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Change Lead Time, Change Failure Percentage, Failed Deployment Recovery Time), cycle time, and quality of deliverables, to assess operational health and identify areas for improvement
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data and insights to streamline workflows and optimize engineering processes
Lead the adoption and application of business intelligence tools and practices within technology operations to provide real-time, actionable insights into engineering performance, resource utilization, and project status
Develop robust reporting and visualization frameworks that translate complex technical metrics into clear, concise, and impactful information for senior leadership and business stakeholders, enabling informed strategic decisions
Utilize AI and advanced analytics to identify trends, predict potential issues, and drive proactive optimization across technology functions
Establish and manage prioritization frameworks that align technology initiatives with overarching business goals, customer value, and strategic objectives
Work closely with business leaders and product teams to ensure technology roadmaps deliver maximum business value, effectively balancing technical feasibility with strategic impact
Assist with people strategy initiatives including headcount management, global team communications, and presentation materials for town halls
Create and maintain business level reporting systems for strategic growth and efficiency projects to effectively communicate progress on strategic initiatives in a clear and concise manner
Build expertise in business analytics, project management, real estate, and risk management
Develop product and technical knowledge to gain understanding across the Marcus suite of offerings and strategic roadmap
Excellent communication, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach are essential, as this role requires frequent interaction with various teams and senior stakeholders across the firm
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
1-3 years of prior work experience preferably in financial services and / or engineering strategy environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with desire to work in a fast paced, high pressure, results driven environment
Ability to work on multiple tasks with a high attention to detail and flexible with hours
Commitment to the highest standard of integrity and maintenance of the appropriate level of confidentiality and discretion on sensitive work assignments
Ability to leverage interpersonal skills to work with cross-disciplinary teams, globally
Outstanding analytical skills as demonstrated by ability to work with detailed financial data and understand commercial implications; proficient in excel and other Microsoft applications
Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to structure key assignment takeaways to dynamic audiences
