Responsibilities
Perform particle retention testing using Fluorescence spectrophotometry, ICP-MS, UV-vis, GPC and other techniques to support general lab operations
Support on the development of new retention methods to evaluate current and next-generation products
Perform validation studies on new and existing methods to ensure reliability and repeatability of data
Collect, interpret, and review experimental data regularly with the Metrology team and present project progress in group meetings
Qualification
Required
Commitment to safe laboratory practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
Basic understanding of scientific processes and data analysis
Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and good communication skills in a fast-paced environment
Must be a currently enrolled student
Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September
Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program
Sophomore or above pursuing a degree in chemistry, material science, or chemical engineering
Graduation date of spring 2026 or later
Preferred
Previous experience with analytical equipment (ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS, LPC, etc.) is a plus
Knowledge of analytical chemistry, statistical analysis, nanoparticles, membrane-based separations, or process improvement is a plus
