Responsibilities
Provide extended expertise in planning and designing manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture of new and existing Axillon Aerospace products
Determine the parts, equipment, and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
Maintain labor standards, safety initiatives, facility layout, capacity analysis, and process simulation
Contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals
Participate in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment
Transfer new products into production from a 'design for manufacturability' approach
Develop process improvement projects aligned with business strategies
Analyze production processes and output quality to improve efficiency in production yields and throughput
Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization
Support capital equipment studies and proposal activities
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Provide extended expertise in planning and designing manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture of new and existing Axillon Aerospace products

Advanced knowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineering (mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity)
Excellent ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving
Proficient knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement
Advanced knowledge of data structures and database programming
Ability to explain a range of complex technical information
Ability to use existing procedures to solve problems
Ability to research and analyze data effectively
Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
Strong prioritization skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
