Staff Attorney - Ag Finance and Credit

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is a state-wide campus that focuses on agricultural research and extension services. Responsibilities

Assist with research and writing activities that further the national mission of the National Agricultural Law Center
Emphasis on agricultural finance and credit issues impacting the agricultural and food sectors
Relevant aspects of the Uniform Commercial Code (i.e., Article 9 and Article 2)
Agricultural liens (including statutory trusts under Packers and Stockyards Act and the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act)
Bankruptcy/debt management
Report to Senior Staff Attorneys
Oversee work of one or more Center Research Fellows
Demonstrate excellent legal research and writing skills
Work independently as well as closely with Center staff

Required

Must possess a Juris Doctor (or obtain by May 2026)
Currently licensed to practice law in any state (or obtain by November 2026)
Strong legal research and writing skills

Background with relevant agricultural/food, finance or environmental issues
At least an overall 3.2 G.P.A. obtained in law school
