Entry, Mid LevelNPAworld is seeking a skilled System Engineer to support engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance functions within their electric distribution system. This role focuses on SCADA operations, AMI system management, and system protection and design, requiring a technically strong and detail-oriented individual.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development of long- and short-term system work plans and sectionalizing studies
Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements
Support load studies, voltage drop analysis, fault current analysis, and system improvements
Maintain system records, databases, and collaborate with third-party engineering consultants
Design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control
Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA hardware/software/communication issues
Monitor performance, apply patches, and ensure system security and compliance
Integrate SCADA with other automation and enterprise systems
Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of AMI meters and devices
Monitor and analyze AMI data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
Troubleshoot connectivity and data discrepancies
Collaborate with IT, operations, and field teams to optimize AMI integration
Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
Implement cybersecurity measures to protect systems and data
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Power Systems
Strong computer and technical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid Indiana Drivers License (or ability to obtain)
CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided if needed)
Preferred
Distribution engineering experience in an electric utility setting
