The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership and guide delivery teams in building scalable MuleSoft-based integrations powering renewable energy and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of MuleSoft-based integrations using API-led connectivity
Define enterprise integration strategy for energy domain use cases — including smart grid, asset management, work management, metering, and ERP integrations
Build reusable APIs, templates, and frameworks using Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Exchange, and API Manager
Work closely with Cloud, Data, SAP/Oracle, and OT (Operational Technology) teams to enable secure and high-performing integrations
Govern CI/CD for MuleSoft deployments using CloudHub / Runtime Fabric
Ensure security, compliance, and performance alignment with NextEra Energy’s enterprise architecture standards
Lead architecture reviews, solution walkthroughs, best practices enforcement, and design documentation
Mentor developers and serve as a technical escalation point during integration delivery
Qualification
Required
10+ years of integration architecture experience; 5+ years with MuleSoft
Strong knowledge of MuleSoft 4.x, Anypoint Platform, API Manager, RAML/OAS
Experience integrating with SAP, Oracle, Workday, and/or utility operations platforms
Deep understanding of API-led architecture, enterprise integration patterns, microservices, event-driven integrations
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric, CloudHub, VPC, Shared Load Balancer
Strong security background: OAuth2, JWT, TLS, client ID enforcement
CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar
Knowledge of cloud platforms (preferred: AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Performance tuning and high-availability architecture experience
Bachelor's or Master's in CS, IT, or Engineering
Preferred
Energy/Utilities sector experience strongly preferred (Generation, Grid Ops, Renewables, Transmission)
Integration experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Maximo, Oracle Utilities, Workday, Salesforce, or Energy Trading
MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Platform Architect preferred
Exposure to data governance, logging frameworks, ELK/CloudWatch
MuleSoft Platform Architect OR Integration Architect certification (Preferred)
