Responsibilities
Winning work and assisting in the strategic growth of LJA’s CEI practice through business development and client engagement
Building out CEI the program and projects eventually including staffing plans, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination to ensure efficiency, profitability, and consistent service quality
Oversee the delivery of CEI services for transportation projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, agency standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations throughout construction
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and agencies, strengthening partnerships, supporting programmatic CEI efforts, and identifying opportunities for future construction and inspection services
Growing the inspection and construction management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in construction delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering is required
Licensed as a Professional Engineer
20+ years of experience handling different and varied levels of transportation construction services for clients such as the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Toll & Regional Mobility Authorities, Counties, and Cities
Ability to perform work on active job sites in a safe, proficient manner required
Ability to represent LJA and its clients in a professional manner at all times
Must have a clean driving record; a DMV check will be conducted
Preferred
TDOT precertifications desired
