Responsibilities
Design and perform a variety of molecular biological, biochemical, and immunological assays (gene constructs, PCR analysis, western blots, flow cytometry, ELISA etc.) This will include but is not limited to preparing culture media, incubate and culture human and mouse cell lines, perform molecular biology techniques, perform flow cytometry techniques and analysis, and work with experimental animals
Supervise junior members in the lab
Assist PI for writing publications and grant applications
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science, or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years of research and/or clinical experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions
