Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics or related field AND Three (3) years experience

OR HS/GED AND Five (5) years in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair or equivalent military training

Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact): Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact professionally with clinical staff, engineers, and vendors

Writing/Correspondence

Writing/Reports: Experience in writing service reports and documenting maintenance activities

Experience with medical device networking and integration with hospital IT systems

Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, NFPA, CMS, and AAMI

Intermediate troubleshooting and repair of biomedical devices

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and signal generators

Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements for medical equipment

Familiarity with equipment inventory and asset management systems

Strong understanding of electronic circuits, mechanical systems, and patient monitoring equipment

Ability to interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams

Knowledge of basic networking principles related to medical devices

Critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

Commitment to patient safety and adherence to regulatory requirements

Preferred

Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification
