Cricut® makes smart cutting machines and is seeking a Temp Lab Technician for their Consumables Quality Lab. The role involves supporting engineers with data collection and technical work, ensuring safe practices and valid results in testing materials.

Responsibilities

Autonomously perform technical work to support engineers developing materials for use in Cricut’s machine ecosystems
Prepare test specimens, set up equipment, and perform testing or analysis following standard test procedures to assure safe practice and valid results
Collect data utilizing various measurement devices such as scales, calipers, and universal test machines
Perform calculations as necessary
Prepare reports of test data and results in accordance with specified procedures
Maintain files, logs, and records of past experiments and/or tests for future references
Maintain a clean, safe working environment, ensuring lab equipment is in acceptable order using 5S processes

Qualification

Basic math skillsMechanical aptitudeMS OfficeStatistical understandingSix Sigma experienceEngineering understanding

Required

High School Degree or equivalent
Ability to understand engineering requirements, safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, etc.) are required
Experience with MS Office, especially basic functions in Microsoft Excel

Preferred

College or post-high school training preferred
Basic understanding about statistical terminologies (mean, median, standard deviation, variance etc.) a plus
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
Experience working in Six Sigma environment preferred
